Crystal therapy has been used throughout the ages by many different civilisations in a multitude of ways.  Now we know there is very little scientific evidence to support the effectiveness of crystal healing on a medical level.  However, crystals have been used and enjoyed for many thousands of years.  Crystal therapy is able to address the person as a whole, paying particular attention to their spiritual and emotional wellbeing.

Crystal therapy is based on the belief that crystals can in some way interact with the energies flowing within the body.  These semi-precious stones are made up of a microscopic network of compressed ions, atoms and molecules.  This gives each one its own unique electromagnetic charge, that can communicate with the body’s own energy centres to restore a healthy flow.

Each session lasts approximately 45 minutes, though initial consultation is longer in order to take a medical history and determine your current state of health.

You remain fully clothed at all times.  Treatments are usually carried out on a futon, however they can be adapted easily for a massage table or chair.

There are several ways crystal therapy can be performed but the most common it the precise placement of particular crystals onto the body.

Crystal therapy is a non-invasive and enjoyable process.  It allows you the chance to lie back, relax and get in touch with your body's energies so you can leave feeling refreshed, restored and de-stressed.

To get the most from a treatment, wear loose, warm, comfortable clothing - sweatshirt, jogging bottoms and socks are ideal.  It is recommended that you do not eat a heavy meal in the two hours prior to a treatment, or drink alcohol before or after a treatment. Drink plenty of water following crystal therapy to aid the flow of changes through the system. If possible avoid strenuous or stressful activities after your session.
